Many people in our communities are unseen, forgotten, and facing unsurmountable odds. Many people want to make a difference for these individuals and families and just don't know where to start. This has led me to recently begin the Serve a Neighbor Saturday initiative. The Serve a Neighbor Saturday initiative will work to connect individuals with practical ways to give of their time, talent, and resources to serve their neighbors in need. Needs will be published every Saturday with the contact information needed for giving. The posted needs will be different each week and will vary between two categories, Giving and Going. Giving needs are those for which individuals can give goods (ex. diapers for LifeLine shelters in Grand Prairie, food for Mission Arlington, Beds for Care Portal needs, Candy for PRG services, etc.) Going needs could vary between taking beds and setting them up for a family through Care Portal, delivering gifts to children, or serving at events where relationshi
